All Digby’s dreams come true when his parents remortgage their house so that he can buy Saltbridge Vets. He’s an instant success, and clients flock to see this caring, likeable young man.

But not everyone is happy with the new state of affairs, and when Digby inadvertently provokes the wrath of the owner of the large neighbouring practice, retribution is quick to follow. As the ensuing turf-war spirals out of control, Digby is left fighting an increasingly desperate battle to save not just his career, but his very own existence.

When Dorset vet Felicity Giblet takes on a huge white cat found abandoned in a burned-out caravan in the woods, she has no idea that she’s putting the village of Marshy Mires in shocking danger.

A catalogue of disasters ensues. Local wildlife is decimated, the cattery burns to a cinder and electrical gadgets and gizmos go haywire, yet she dismisses all complaints against her darling boy as lies perpetrated by cat-haters.

But someone from the Arctic knows exactly what this fearsome feline is, and more importantly what it’s worth, and this evil villain will stop at nothing to remove “Mister Fluffy Pants” from the world stage.
