Sally Scott has a veterinary degree from the University of Cambridge, along with a Master of Arts in applied biology. Married with three children, she has worked in her own practices in Somerset and Dorset for over twenty years and has a particular interest in how animals affect people’s behaviour.
When asked why she wrote Catalogue of Disasters, she explained, “Over my career as a vet, I have seen just how strong the bond between humans and animals can be, and my book sets out to humourously explore its limits. But the story also peruses the darker truth that all animal species are incredibly similar under the skin, and whilst house cats might look cute and fluffy on the outside, once there’s a crack in their thin veneer of domesticity, who knows what might come out!"
